About us
Westrand Primary School
Duty is sacred
West Rand SDA Primary’s history can be traced back to humble
beginnings at Kliptown SDA Church in 1949. Later the school moved premises to
Bosmont SDA Church, and then eventually to its current location in Westdene, Johannesburg. The school is owned and operated by the Northern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. As a school we place a high value on providing quality education within the framework of bible-based beliefs and the fundamental practises of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The school offers the South African CAPS curriculum enriched by the Bible-study program of the Seventh-day Adventist school system. Our committed staff is highly involved with every aspect of the learners' lives at school. At the heart of Adventist education is a belief that children achieve true growth when their mental, physical and spiritual needs are met. With a strong focus on a FAMILY and CHRISTIAN ethos as well as a HOLISTIC APPROACH to education.
OUR MISSION

A warm and caring environment
The school provides a warm, caring environment where all children can learn to relate positively to each other, staff and other adults. We recognise the uniqueness of each individual; and because we accept the Bible as the Word of God, Westrand Primary School desires to follow the counsel therein by offering its students a programme that strives for balance among the spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social aspects of life.
